OUR STORY…

Hands of Faith Fair Trade Ministry began in 2005 with fair trade coffee sales at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands, TX. In 2013, we opened the Hands of Faith storefront in a small church classroom. Our growing ministry, run by volunteers, has a wide variety of handcrafted and small-farmer-grown products including coffee, teas, chocolates, spices, olive oils, vinegar, home and garden decor, paper products, clothing, jewelry, handbags, toys, and more. As proud members of the Fair Trade Federation we continue our mission of promoting fair trade principles, while selling items from over 45 countries. Our Mission

Our mission at Hands of Faith is to support artisans and farmers who need a way to sell their handicrafts and products to support their families, communities and ministries. Behind items we consume every day, are the people living in poor, rural regions of the world where paved roads and internet access are rare. In conventional trade, small-scale farmers do not have their pick of buyers. Middlemen take advantage of this and pay unfairly low prices — prices that do not even cover their costs; leaving them little money for nutritious food, medicine, clothes or education. Children are often forced to work instead of attending school. We believe all children should be given the opportunity to stay in school instead of being forced to work. When you support fair trade, your dollars help break the cycle of poverty in the most vulnerable areas of the world. Hands of Faith’s mission is to help artisans and farmers build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. Fair trade means more of your shopping dollars go to disadvantaged communities and ministries worldwide. The partnerships we have chosen for our store truly transform lives and communities.
